Goodyear sets goal to completely replace petroleum-derived oil by 2040

By using soybean oil, Goodyear can reduce the amount of petroleum-based oil it uses by as much as 22 million gallons per year. Its rubber compounds are also easier to mix with the polymers used in compound formulations.
